Far Looking Hut in Plum Village Thailand is the largest hut among those that exist in Plum Village practice centers all over the world. Far Looking Hut is a wholesome place because it is the very hut where Thay had rested and healed for two years (2016-2018) before returning to Vietnam and passed away there.
Thay is always present During the years Thay stayed here, he continuously transmitted the most beautiful of himself. Not only were we able to witness his will-power, feel the love of a teacher for his students, the compassion through his eyes, and his movements each time we were near, but also, by just thinking towards where Thay lived, standing still and breathing gently, we already felt harmonized with his breath and aware of his presence in us.
We respectfully send our most profound gratitude to Thay. Thank you Thay for choosing this place, letting us build the Sangha here, practice happily together, continue transmitting the career of the Buddha, the patriarchs, and Thay.
Thay is not only present in the Far Looking Hut, but also inside of us, in our mindful breaths and peaceful steps. Each moment of his life is a moment of transmitting and offering completely. Every moment we can see Thay in us is a moment of continuation and nourishment.
This is a wonderful moment.
