An Invitation to Sit Together for Peace
COMPASSIONATE NECTAR
Please walk with me to the places of sickness and suffering, bringing compassionate nectar and medicine." (From "Awakening the Source of Love" - Plum Village Chanting Book)
Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, vows to offer her presence in all places where suffering is stopping humans from coming together and love not watered. Who is that bodhisattva? Isn't it you?
Dear member of beloved community of practice far and near!
You are the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, who is a practitioner that has the capacity to practice deep looking and deep listening to the suffering of this one or another, at this place or another. Thanks to love and for the sake of love, you and anyone of us are able to grow the seeds of love, the basic condition for the practice of mindfulness and the harmonious song of humans.
Thai Plum Village would like to share with you the messages for love in order to ease the suffering that is present all around us. You are invited to read them and generate compassion for the suffering of our elder and younger brothers and sisters. We are children of the same mother, the same father, and we are grandchildren of the same flow of spiritual life. To help to ease each other's body and mind is our responsibility and honor.
With gratitude!
Monastic brothers and sisters Thai Plum Village
